Contemporary Issues

Contemporary Issues looks at church and world events and how we as Christians respond.   Contemporary Issues are held at  9:00 a.m. in the Parlor.  Facilitators for this class are Mary Ann Gilbert and Barbara Barnes. 

The Present Word

The Present Word is a Bible study series in which teachers and learners come together to reflect on the Biblical text and to act on what they discover.  The Present Word  held at 9:45 a.m. in Room 107 (Colonial Room).  David Kelley and Sam Choo is facilitator for this class. 

Scripture Today:  Practical Applications of God's Word

Scripture Today takes an informal approach utilizing the lectionary passages for the week as a guide to a more topical and practical approach to God's Word.  This class held at 9:45 a.m. in Room 205.  Mark Maxwell is facilitator for this class.

Coffee Talk

Your Adult Ministry Team invites all Young Adults to join with us in a lively discussion of the book, "Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality," by Donald Miller.  Books are available in class.  Come and meet other young adults for fellowship, study and prayer.  This class is facilitated by Reverend Catherine Change in the Cherry Room 201.

New Members Class

The New Members class is tentatively scheduled for CLICK HERE FOR THE LATEST SCHEDULE in the Fellowship Hall.

This series is designed for those who are interested in knowing more about the Christian faith and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as well as for those interested in becoming member of Memorial Presbyterian Church.  Please call the church office at 835-6759 if you are interested.

 

New Class  . . .

Presbyterian 101:  Senior Pastor Reverend Dr. David Pierce will lead this "parallel" course for all parents and interested learners, as you explore the same topics as the confirmation class.  Learn the basics of faith and what it means to be members of the Presbyterian Church.  This class will take place in the Small Dining Room from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
