Guidelines for Preparing “Statement of Faith”
Ø Based on your unique gifts and abilities, find a medium in which she/he is comfortable expressing your faith (e.g. writing, poetry, music, video, etc.)
Ø Consider questions and answers around the following:
Who is God? God is like __________________. I feel close to God when __________.
Who is Jesus? Jesus is like ___________________.
Who is the Holy Spirit? I imagine the Holy Spirit to be like ___________________.
What does the church mean to me? What are some of the things that I participate in at church? Being part of the church is important to me, because __________________.
What is Scripture for me? My favorite Bible story is _________________________.
Ø You will present your final project on Sunday, May 20, 2012, to members of the Confirmation Class.
Ø You and your mentor will introduce your project to Session on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
