Our Teachers

Sandy Svercek earned her Child Development Associate National Certification and completed two years of Early Childhood Education.  She was a developer for a national school supply company and created classroom curriculum used by schools nationally.  As an authority on the education of young children, Sandy has published books and materials and has spoken at conferences.  She is trained to work with special needs children.  Sandy also co-teaches PPCP's extended day Lunch Bunch program.  She has taught young children since 1974 and she has been teaching at PPCP for over 14 years.  Sandy teaches our Kindergarten Readiness Program.  She also serves as director of the preschool.

 

 

Annette Carbary teaches our Four-Year-Old Program.  Annette has a Masters of science in Educational Leadership, as well as a ZA Endorsement of Early Childhood Education.  She continues to educate herself by regularly attending the Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children Conference.  Annette has taught preschool and has been a substitute preschool teacher in Midland, Coleman, Sanford as well as Seol, Korea spanning a 12 year period.  This is Annette first year as our 4 year old teacher.

 

 

 

 

Lisa Ryan earned her Liberal Arts and Associate's degree in Child Development from Delta College, as well as her CDA from Washington, D.C.  She has been a member of the PPCP family for many years, either as a parent, classroom aide, substitute teacher, and now lead teacher of the Toddler-Parent Program and the Three-Year-Old Program.  Lisa also co-teaches PPCP's extended day Lunch Bunch program.  Lisa is currently pursuing a Special Education Certification and plans on receiving her Bachelor's degree in Early Child Development.
