Adult Christian Education Ministry 2008
Contemporary Issues
Contemporary Issues looks at church and world events and how we as Christians respond. The class begins with “The Thoughtful Christian’s” study of “What is the Trinity?” The class will continue with a series on “Religion and Politics.” The facilitators are Mary Ann Gilbert, Barbara Barnes, John Roper and Karen Banaszak.
The Present Word
“The Present Word” from beginning to end is a Bible study series in which teachers and learners come together to reflect on the Biblical text and to act on what they discover there. This study series is held at 9:45 a.m. in Room 107.
We Believe
“We Believe” is an Adult Quarterly Bible Study published by Presbyterian Church (USA). The theme of this falls study is “Redemption: The Word Became Flesh”. This study is held at 9:45 a.m. in Room 205. The facilitator is Mark Maxwell.
ChristCare
A Sunday morning “Parents of Young Children”
ChristCare group meets in Room 207 from 9:45 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A variety of
parenting topics and Bible studies will be explored. The facilitator is Mark
Spence.
Sundays at 4:30 p.m.
The Adult Ministry Team is pleased to announce a new series of adult learning opportunities meet on Sundays at 4:30 p.m. is held in the Parlor.
The Colonial Room
After the worship service in the Assembly Room at 9:45 am, grab a cup of coffee, a Bible and join class in the Colonial Room. No experience necessary for fellowship, conversation, study and prayer!
New Members Class

This series is designed for those who are interested in knowing more about the Christian faith and the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) as well as for those interested in becoming member of MPC. Please call the church office at 835-6759 if you are interested.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN CIRCLES
Circle 2: Horizons Bible Study will meet on Wednesday mornings at 9:30 in the Parlor.
Circle 3:
Horizons Bible Study will meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 in the Colonial Room 107. The leader is Jan Brookens.
Abbey Circle:
Dessert and programs. Fourth Wednesday of the month, 1:15 p.m. in the Parlor.Leaders are Betty Currin and Dee Ioset.
Sewing and Sharing Group

Presbyterian Men
THURSDAY MORNING
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The group meets on consecutive Thursdays, 6:30 a.m. until 7:30 a.m. in Room 60, in the basement of the Education Building. All men are welcome. Study guides are provided. The Reverend Wally Mayton is the facilitator.
SATURDAY MORNING
MEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. in the Office Conference Room. All Men of the Church are welcome!
Voyagers
Voyages is an Adult Ministry emphasizing fellowship.
The Voyagers program has three groups, two meet on Friday and one on Saturday. These groups operate autonomously, planning and carrying out their own programs of mission and fellowship.
