Prayer

Creator of branches, rivers, and stones,

Of fiery flames and startling stars;

Kindle the spark of your spirit within us; set our hearts on fire.

Knit us together---the hands, feet, ears, and eyes and voices and yes,

even the elbows and knees, until we become one body in Christ.

Gather us together as your people, into one person in Christ.

Your will be done, in earth and in heaven; world without end.  Amen.

Presbyterian Women Logo

Ever wonder about the logo that is on the front of this page? Sally Abbotts from Beaverton originally designed it for national Presbyterian Women in 1988. There has been some modification since then, but the symbols continue to embody the purpose of Presbyterian Women:

The trio of women are rooted in faith-the Bible similar to the one on the PC (USA) Seal. The central figure stands in praise and forms a cross. Her uplifted arms reach out to embrace a just peace.

The figure on the right holds a book to guide her in study, prayer and meditation.

The left figure reaches out to care for others.

The circle represents the church worldwide where women offer their gifts and talents.

The women have no distinct features - to represent all women.
