Small groups connect us to one another and to our faith in deep and intimate ways. They offer us the opportunity to be shaped during the week by the Word of God and our relationships with other Christians.

At MPC there are lots of opportunities for people to be involved in different types of small groups and ministries. One of the primary ways is what we call 242 Groups. These intentional communities consist of 8 to 12 people who met weekly or bi-weekly to focus on the four basic principles of the early church found in Acts 2:42.

Devotion to the Word of God

242 Groups center themselves around the study of the Bible or a book that challenges them spiritually.

Fellowship

Those in a 242 Group build into one another’s lives through conversation and mutual care.

The Breaking of Bread

242 Groups share meals and eat in one another’s homes.

Prayer

242 Groups root themselves in prayer together.
