Jean & J. Lawrence Amos Endowed Adult Scholarship Fund

This scholarship is for a person desiring to return to school to complete a degree or certification that improves their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their family. A grant of up to $3,500 a year is available per submission. Scholarships are renewable based on acceptable grades and good standing with the school/program.


  • Adults, male or female

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Based on financial need

  • Resident of Midland County for at least ONE YEAR

  • Must have obtained a high school diploma or equivalency

  • Interview required

sCHOLARSHIP be used for the following programs:

  • Advanced degree

  • Associate degree

  • Skilled or technical degree

  • A class to improve skills

Funds may be used for:

  • Fees associated with tuition or class

  • Purchase of books

All tuition funds to be paid directly to school/program of choice and books will be paid to bookstore or reimbursed with appropriate receipt.
