The Chancel Choir of the Bertha E.R. Strosacker Memorial Presbyterian Church will present a vesper program on March 10 at 4:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. The program will feature compositions by 20th century Norwegian composer, Egil Hovland, including his 1972 work, Saul, a musical depiction of Acts 9, telling the story of Saul’s conversion to Paul the Apostle on the Road to Damascus. The Reverend Matthew Schramm will narrate and provide a brief meditation.
Other selections include The Last Words of David by Randall Thompson, Ave Verum by W.A. Mozart, I Dream a World by Andre Thomas, and Beulah Lan’ arranged by Stacey Gibbs.
The Chancel Choir is under the director of Megan Farison, Director of Worship and Arts, with guest conductor George Widiger, Associate Director of Worship and Arts. Dr. Adrienne Wiley, oganist, will accompany the choir. A dessert reception will follow the program in Mayton Fellowship Hall.
