Warm Hat Ministry of the Deacons

The need for warm hats for our homeless and underserved neighbors in the community becomes a very real issue when they navigate the hardships of winter. The Board of Deacons and Reaching Out Locally committee created a new Warm Hat Ministry to provide hats (and potentially scarves, gloves, etc.) for anyone in need. From November 1 to March 1, Deacons maintain a self-serve station near the Midtown Mission Garden. The accompanying signage indicates that anyone walking or driving by is encouraged to select a hat. We appreciate donations of store-bought and handmade hats. Thank you for sharing the warmth!
